TASC, Inc. (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for cost-saving criminal justice interventions that maintain public safety while providing necessary clinical services for people with substance use and mental health problems.
As a statewide, independent case management agency in Illinois, TASC places people in community-based treatment programs and monitors their progress on behalf of courts and other referring entities. Working in partnership with justice systems, child welfare programs, and community service providers, TASC advocates for adults and adolescents to receive the services they need to become healthy and engaged members of their families and communities.
Additionally, through its Center for Health and Justice, TASC offers public policy, research, consulting and training across the United States and internationally.
